Have you ever come away from a Sunday Church service with your toes still tapping?
I HAVE!
What a glorious and spiritual uplifting job the worship team did today.
They led by calling upon David’s son, asking for His mercies to spread upon each of us. We asked to become closer and deeper into God’s heart so we can be closer to Him and know Him better. Then we declared repeatedly how great God’s love is for us.
In another melody we all were confessing that we do not have anything to give God BUT our hearts. Hallelujahs raised to the beams, filtered through the roof, and ascended upon God’s ears.
I understand you might say, “Ok, my choir does the same thing, but I have not felt my toes tapping to anything.”
You need to know the worship team here has thrown away their metronome and replaced it with the rhythm coming from the Holy Spirit Himself.
What an infectious experience!
Please, do not misunderstand me, “In the Garden,” “How Great Thou Art,” “Little Brown Church in the Dell,” these and other hymns always will remain treasures to me. I feel at peace and tranquil whenever I hear them.
I do not think the Trinity enjoys being tranquil all the time.
Do you agree that God has made everything and is in control of all things? Good! Knowing this you will have to agree that He made the enthusiastic Waltz, the Foxtrot along with every other expression of the love we have for Him including today’s Break Dancing. When we are in His Word and His Spirit is coming through us to His ears, He hears a symphony.
Whatever beat you enjoy hearing, enjoy, but please do not be afraid to step out of your box and experience something a little different and who knows you may discover amazing things.
